Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC) bersama YB Datuk Haji Ahmad Haji Maslan, Timbalan Menteri (Industri) MITI telah mengadakan lawatan turun padang ke POIC Tanjung Langsat, Johor Bahru pada 8hb Disember 2016 dan melawat dua (2) buah industri Halal iaitu Adeka Food (Asia) Sdn. Bhd. Dan Vance Bioenergy Sdn. Bhd . Adeka Food (Asia) Sdn. Bhd. merupakan pengeluar marjerin terkemuka di Malaysia yang berasal dari Jepun beroperasi di POIC Tanjung Langsat telah menerima insentif Halal HDC pada 13 Oktober 2014. Manakala Vance Bioenergy Sdn. Bhd. berasal dari Singapura yang juga beroperasi di POIC Tanjung langsat merupakan pengeluar oleokimia dan bahan kimia sah yang menghasilkan produk Biodiesel dan gliserin. The Ministry of International Trade and Industry, and its agencies, is ramping up efforts to address concerns of manufacturing companies to help facilitate their growth and development.
“We are stepping up our efforts to engage with companies on the ground to gain insights into their operational issues to enable the Government to help allay their concerns.
This effort is especially important in the current challenging economic environment," MITI Minister YB Dato' Sri Mustapa Mohamed said.
YB Dato' Sri Mustapa was speaking to the media following a "Turun Padang" programme to the state of Selangor on Oct. 6. The working visit was organised by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA).
The Minister began the programme with a visit to two logistics companies - Century Total Logistics and Syarikat Logistik Petikemas - followed by meetings with their respective senior management.
