YB Menteri MITI received a delegation from Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad (MAHB) led by Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, Managing Director MAHB. Also present were Puan Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi, Deputy Secretary General MITI, En Shamsul Kamar Abu Samah, Head NAICO MITI and En Rafizal Rahim, Head e-commerce Unit, MITI.
MAHB shared the progress of KLIA Aeropolis which include the aerospace ecosystem development (Aero Manufacturing & MRO) and the Digital Free Trade Zone. To-date, KLIA serves around 49 million passengers and manages cargo volume of 730,000 tonnes per annum serving 70 airlines to 120 international destinations.
KLIA Aeropolis embodied 3 main segments namely Air cargo & logistics, Aerospace and aviation and MICE & leisure. The detailed master plan is ready and the investment model at KLIA Aeropolis will be made through a newly established SPV - KLIA Aeropolis Sdn Bhd.
Aligned to few key national targets under the National Aerospace Industry Blueprint 2030 and ETP, MAHB continues to support and promote strategic aerospace investments both in Subang and Sepang. Several major international aerospace companies have registered interest to set their footprint in Malaysia
