YB Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Minister of International Trade and Industry together with senior directors of MITI hosted the participants from the Asia Leadership Trek 2017 at the MITI Tower, on January 12, 2017.
As part of the Asia Leadership Trek, a unique socio-economic political study tour organized by the Harvard-inspired Center for Asia Leadership. The graduate students were professionals, change-agents, consultants, policy makers and advisors to ministers before attending graduate schools at these prestigious universities.
The graduate students, or trekkers as they are more fondly known, underwent stringent selection process before they could participate in the Trek. The Trek covers six (6) destinations across Asia in 27 days — Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea and Japan.Malaysia is the fifth country of visit.
The group was welcomed and briefed by YB Minister. Also present was Datuk Wong Seng Foo who later shared with the group on some of the work that has been done by MITI.
YB Minister and Datuk Wong Seng Foo also, answered their queries and later hosted them to lunch.
