Ms. Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi, Deputy Secretary General (Strategy and Monitoring) of MITI participated in a panel discussion on ‘The National eCommerce Strategic Roadmap : Opportunities & Challenges’ at the recent eCommerce Delivery Awards and Symposium organised by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) together with the Association of Malaysian Express Carriers (AMEC). Other panelists include MDEC, CEO of LAZADA Malaysia, Google Malaysia and eCommerceMILO.com.
The Symposium gathered postal and courier services industry players to share knowledge and best practices related to digital economy and innovation that has more impact on the future of postal and courier services in the context of eCommerce. The official launch of the National eCommerce Strategic Roadmap by YAB Prime Minister recently took place on 13 October 2016 at the sidelines of the 28th MSC Malaysia Implementation Council Meeting (ICM) in Putrajaya.
Present at the event were MITI Minister, YB Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed as Chair of the National eCommerce Council (NeCC) and other Cabinet Ministers as well as leading eCommerce stakeholders involved in the preparations of the Strategic Roadmap including Pos Malaysia, GDeX, Google, Facebook, Lazada, Lelong, 11street, ManagePay and PIKOM.
The Roadmap marks another milestone in the Government’s efforts towards driving the national eCommerce agenda.
